Suiciderock: First of all we need a little more information about the band? When and where did you guys meet up?
Durden: Oh actually our guitarplayers met at some bar here in Tampere. They didn`t know each other before. They simply started to talk and so it happened. Than I met Miguel, the other guitarplayer. He told me about the band and as I had just broke up with my other band, “Jeremy” at this time. I was free and so I joined Nitrokiss. Our first drummer wasn`t that good. I can`t even remember his name. That was also the reason why we kicked him out of the band. At this time I have also been in some other band and Davide, our drummer was playing in this band as well. I suggested that Nitrokiss is much better than the band we were in and so he believed me and joined us. That`s the basic story. That was back in 2003. We haven`t really known us before we found the band.
 
Suiciderock: But you are not like a casted band?
Durden: No, no. We just met in different locations. That`s how we became friends and started to play together and stuff like that.

Suiciderock: Who had the idea for the name of the band?
Durden: It was me and Miko who figured it out. Kiss is my favourite band and “Nitro” adds a little more strength, so we ended up with “Nitrokiss”.

Suiciderock: You just mentioned Kiss as your favourite band. Would you say that bands like Kiss have influenced your own music?
Durden: Yeah I would say that Kiss influenced me in a melodic way. Of course also Mötley Crue had a huge influence. But the musical taste is quite different in our band. Our bassplayer for example likes The Cure and Iggy Pop, Jarkko is into The Beatles. So you see all different kinds of influences are combined in our band. But we try to make our music sound like Nitrokiss you know?

Suiciderock: The musicindustry always trys to put bands into a certain corner. How would you define your music style?
Durden: It´s Rock but not in the style of 80`s Hardrock, more like Hardrock nowadays. It`s Hardrock out of the 20th century. But all in one you can describe it as Rock. We try to make it as good as we can.

Suiciderock: Let`s talk about the roles in your band. Who is responsible for the songwriting?
Durden: Me and Miguel.
Suiciderock: What inspires you?
Durden: It depends. Sometimes a hangover can be very inspiring. I really don`t know. Usually I grab my acoustic guitar and than I start to play and the inspiration flows. So nothing… ‘laughs’. No, it`s not that I inflame some candles and drink red wine: I just take the guitar and try to make it happen.

Suiciderock: What can people expect from your live shows?
Durden: A lot of action and energy. Davide bangs the drums like a maniac. It`s a very energetic show, good music and a lot of fun of course, too. On stage we just have fun and enjoy the show. And so do the people hopefully.

Suiciderock: Can you remember your worst show ever and the best one?
Durden: I guess the worst show was the first one we played in Hämenlinna. I was totally wasted. I lost my microphone. The best show probably was the latest one we`ve played at Seminfinal in Helsinki. It was about one month ago. We really rocked hard, we sold all our cd`s. It was really much fun.

Suiciderock: I heard that you are going to release your new album. Can you already reveal something about it? Any ideas for an albumtitle?
Durden: I`m not so shure about the title. At the moment we are calling it “Tales from the pit”. We called our last rehearsal place “Piss Pit”: I guess it won`t be the final title for the album. About the sound…it`s gonna be some real Rock`n Roll music combined with lot`s of good melodies.
Suiciderock: How many songs will the album contain?
Durden: The album will contain ten or eleven tracks.
Suiciderock: You`ve already released a single. Right?
Durden: Yeah the single is called “Addiction”. The song can be heard on our myspace. Unfortunatly I`m not having it with me right now. So I can`t give it to you.

Suiciderock: What is the song about?
Durden: It`s about all the addictions in life `laughs`. I`m addicted to motor drugs…

Suiciderock: What is your favourite addiction? Or is there something that you want to get rid of?
Durden: Maybe I want to quit smoking. The best addiction is sex of course.
Suiciderock: But is sex better than Rock`n Roll?
Durden: Well, ahm… it depends, no I would say you should have both at the same time than it`s just perfect.

Suiciderock: Will you go on tour after the release of the new album?
Durden: Oh yeah we were talking about touring already. I`m not shure but we were discussing about an English tour. The tour actually starts before the recordings for the album. We visit as much places as we can because so we get lot`s of listeners and fans before the album comes out. We will be touring till the beginning of summer. We are also going to play some festivals. But they are not confirmed yet. The gigs are just coming up every day.

Suiciderock: How does a typical tour day look like for you?
Durden: We wake up, than we start to load up the stuff from the van and after this we start heading were ever we are heading. It depends on the city, a couple of beers, soundcheck, some more beers, then the show,…

Suiciderock: What does the future hold for you?
Durden: I think 2007 will be a really good year for us. We will release our album. The first years were about finding our own sound and stuff like that. We actually had a brake of six month `cause Davide our drummer was arrested in jail. He didn`t go the the army.
Suiciderock: So he had to stay in jail for the time he was supposed to go to the army?
Durden: Yes, basically. During this time we couln`t do any shows. Actually the drums for the upcoming album were recorded about one year ago. Davide did them before he went to jail. Now we are using this tracks and we have to add the guitars and so on. So the recording process was about one year. Not constantly but it was almost one year.
Suiciderock: You should have recorded it in jail…
Durden: I think the court would have been against that… `laughs` “the rockers out of jail”.

Durden: What is the sence of live? Answer: Well, it`s probably to have fun, just pick your own path and be happy with it., just live your own life.
